    CHADD – Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder national organization.

    The Louisiana Capital Area Chapter of CHADD conducts monthly workshops for families of those with ADHD and related learning differences. Workshops focus on such topics as effective advocacy, homework strategies, developing effective parent/school partnerships, and other concerns regarding education, health and mental health.  Contact Belynda L.     ADD Resources– The website of A Attention Deficit Disorder Resources has over 100 articles written by national ADHD authorities as well as adults with ADHD. Plenty of information for parents too. 100 plus links to ADHD-related websites. Includes the National ADHD Directory with over 1000 ADHD Service Providers listed as well as a National ADHD Events Calendar. Free monthly eNews available.

    The Dyslexia Association of Greater Baton Rouge (DAGBR) owns Brighton School (school for students with language-based learning disabilities) and is now located on 2 campuses.

    Free Online TutoringHomeworkLouisiana offers FREE online tutoring and academic resources from for Louisiana residents from kindergarten students through adult learners. Get help in math, science, social studies or English from a live tutor. The services can be accessed from a Louisiana public library, from your home computer or from your mobile device.
